deviantART Related - is it ART?
This is a common question from the Community, sometimes phrased as that question, sometimes phrased as a blunt opinion! This article, written for Project Educate - dA Related, aims to shed a light on this topic. :) And it's not gonna be brief
Because, no one can simply answer this for other people. This journal will not attempt to do that. Instead I have tried to gather a variety of opinions on this subject, so you can read several views and decide for yourself! :)

I wanted to put together a series of articles that focus on the opposite of drAma, instead focusing on positives. Here is a collection of messages I have gathered from members of the community, that highlight positive moments, be they success stories, kind words or general messages of encouragement for those who work hard.

First off, could you give us a brief introduction of yourself?
Hi there, I’m Lauren :la: I’m 16 years old and into my sophomore year in my high school. I spend my time at home during the weekends (or all day during the summer) and in school. When I am not in school, I am spending at least 20+ hours a week playing in the marching band (which, technically, I would still be in school :B). When I’m not getting my ass kicked on the football field or catching up to my homework, I spend time on deviantART.
Anyway, I love to read, write, and play on my flute. I am a bit shy in real life, so writing something down does help me express myself. I am getting busier now, so it’s hard to do many things in my spare time. It does, however, keep me sane :love:
What gave you the idea to register with your username?
My username is totes random :B I never thought that I would love to be in such a great art commun

So what does it take to become a Senior? That's a question many have asked and have never really been able to get a straight answer on. Some have gained Seniority as a thank you for their time spent as a Volunteer, or to recognise their contribution to a particular project or collaborative action. Some have gained Seniority because of their community spirit, providing help and assistance to many other deviants and taking time out to promote the work of others in the community.
Some people have received Seniority because of their artistic endevours, having a positive influence on their peers by sharing resources, providing constructive criticism and by being a voice that stands out above the many others who deviate to be recognised in the crowd.
Today, we present to you the following deviants who have all been awarded Seniority as part of our 11th birthday celebrations. They have all been nominated

First, thank you for agreeing to be interviewed! I truly appreciate it. If you don't mind, could you tell us briefly how it was that you came to be an official staff member, and about how long ago that was?
I joined deviantART as  a member in 2003 and in 2004 I started volunteering as a Photography Gallery Director.  After volunteering in that area for a little over a year I was offered a job as the Director of Artist Relations (Now Community Relations) in June of 2005 :)

How did you first discover deviantART?
:happybounce: I never knew about the internet until I was about 7 or 8 years old, where I would just play games on there once in a while. When I was about 11, I browsed around the internet a little more often, and ended up reading fanfiction of some movies and TV shows :shrug:. I looked at some of the profiles of authors, and some linked their dA accounts. I browsed around that deviantART for a short time and dismissed it as nothing.
Shortly after turning 13, my English teacher made my class participate in the National Novel Writing Month where I typed my fingers off over 21,000 words and became an active member in the forums. After almost one year, someone posted a thread about deviantART. I visited this wonderful community again, an
